Free beta terms

1. Service and access

UpKeeper is a personal website-availability monitoring project. The free beta includes two active sites, a target check frequency of 60 seconds and up to 30 days of viewable history. Results depend on available measurements. No paid subscription is sold during this beta.

The Pro waitlist is optional, free, and creates no reservation or promise of launch. It does not increase Free limits. Any paid offer will have separate terms before purchase.

2. Best effort and limitations

The publisher uses reasonable efforts but provides no contractual SLA, minimum availability, support or recovery time. Interruptions, delays and data loss may occur.

A check reflects one probe at one moment and does not prove access for every visitor. Incidents may go undetected; notifications may be delayed, filtered, incorrect or undelivered.

UpKeeper is a complementary tool and must not be the sole on-call, security, backup or monitoring system for critical activity.

3. Permitted use and account

Use an email address you own and monitor only resources you own or are authorised to test. Intrusion, limit bypass, denial of service and unlawful content are prohibited. Do not place secrets or unnecessary personal data in URLs or public messages.

4. Public pages and announcements

Published services, measurements, title, logo and announcements are accessible without login. You are responsible for publication rights and confidentiality; an unguessable link is not access control.

Maintenance and incident messages are declarative. Maintenance does not pause probes or alerts or erase measured downtime. Each page owner remains responsible for published content.

5. Liability

Liability is assessed under applicable law based on actual obligations, proven breach, harm and causation. These technical limits define the service scope and are not a general waiver of liability.

Nothing excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded, including fraud, gross negligence or breach of an essential obligation. Mandatory privacy and consumer rights remain protected.

6. Suspension, changes and end of beta

Accounts may be suspended for abuse, security risk or legal obligation. When possible, major changes or planned shutdowns will be announced with reasonable time to retrieve useful information; emergencies may require immediate action. You may stop and delete your account.

French law applies subject to mandatory user protections. An amicable resolution may be sought without preventing legal recourse. These terms impose no exclusive court or waiver of action.
